Our Vision
Pastor Callaway recognizes the need for additional biblical training beyond the church’s four regular weekly services that would be flexible to fit the need of each individual. Not only was flexibility considered but also affordability without compromising the course of studies. In response to that, the San Pedro Valley Bible Institute was established to help equip believers with a deeper knowledge of God’s Word and a greater readiness to serve the Lord through the local church.
The institute places a strong emphasis on developing faithful Christians who are grounded in Scripture, committed to prayer, and surrendered to the will of God. Students are encouraged to cultivate a consistent prayer life accompanied by fasting, to become diligent students of the Bible, and to actively serve through the ministries of the local New Testament church.
In addition to classroom instruction, students are given opportunities for hands-on ministry within the church, allowing them to apply what they learn in practical service. Our desire is not only to increase biblical knowledge, but also to help train faithful servants who will grow spiritually, strengthen the local church, and effectively reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Leadership
Josh Callaway was born and raised in Indiana. At the age of 14, Josh trusted Jesus Christ as his Saviour after his Aunt Karen prayed with him concerning his salvation. Several years later, at the age of 22, his father-in-law, Ron, helped give him assurance of his salvation and presented him with his first King James Bible. Shortly afterward, Josh was baptized, and he and his wife, Kristy, became members of Calvary Baptist Church in Winamac, Indiana.
Since that time, Josh and Kristy have faithfully served in various ministries, including children’s ministries, teen ministries, and bus ministry work. They have been married since 2011 and are blessed with four children: Gabriel, Christopher, Henry, and Katy.
In 2021, Josh received a diploma from Baptist College of America and continues to further his studies through BCA. He has had the opportunity to serve the Lord as assistant pastor at Hopewell Baptist Church in Longmont, Colorado. In June of 2022, the Lord led Josh and his family to East Mesa Baptist Church, where he served as assistant pastor. In March of 2025, the Lord called Josh to be the Pastor of San Pedro Valley Baptist Church.
